I have Dell c840, I bought a new WD external hard drive and the laptop will not rcognize it. I read about all the threads here and no suggestion seems to work for me.. I tried My computer, manager and all it says drive C the internal one. It is brand new. Do I need to format the drive, if so then how. Thank you for your [any]help.
