getting Weird sounds in games after installing new sound card (sound sample included)

when i go into games i get "sound noise" instead of actual sound, i think it is because both my old motherboard sound chip and my new" Razer Barracuda AC-1 audio card" are trying to take control (but that is jsut my unQualified guess),

i was wondering if you could give me instructions on how to fix it. I have already ( as far as i know ) disabled the chip sound card in bios. and my codec file is set to "Razer Barracuda AC-1 version 1.10"


Pc specc:
NVIDIA Geforce 6600 GT
AMD Athlon(tm) 64 processor 3000+
1,80 GHz
1 Gb RAM
Windows Xp Pro edition

all codecs and drivers is installed correct as far as iknow and havent had a problem until i installed the new Audio card
Problem only persist in games, (though not all games)

Have you checked control paenel under sounds to see if it is set to the sound card? And you have installed the correct drivers for your OS?

fixed it, i took the sound card out, reactivated the chip, un-installed it again.. and re-activated new soundcard again and installed driver again..
