I'm not a great supporter of wireless, but I would run the network setup wizard as a first step.
You will find it in "my network places", or start/accessories/communications
The router would have a default pass that you need to enter to gain access to it's web interface. It also defaults to a set ip. They will be documented, or marked somewhere on it.
