Wierd problem prob overheat

okay so last week while i was in the middle of doing nothing on my computer it crashes. so i start to cry and run around jk. but i open it up and find it to be extremely warm, so i take a fan and run it against it to cool it off. after it cools off i plug it back in and try to turn it on to my luck it doesnt turn on...so the next day i go to get it checked at the bestbuy. they plug it in and the power turns on, so i think oh it must be working fine. Then i take it home only to find out it wont power on (power supply on but the front light thing wont turn on when i press it (power button)). so i take it to the best buy again and low and behold it turns on. so i get home and try to turn it on...then my screen says "no signal" so i am like...crud. the next day i go to best buy again and with the screen and find that the screen is broken AND my fan wont turn on! so i like "buy" a new screen while the other is in the shop and go home. i turn it on and the fan wont work and the screen wont turn on either. so i go AGAIN to bestbuy to check it out and everything works like nothing ever happens. for the next few days it is working perfectly, but then i leave on vacation for the weekend and it is OFF. so when i come back i turn it on and like i fall asleep so in the morning i wake up and find that it crashed AGAIN!!!! so today (day of crash) i really dont want to go to bestbuy only to find it is working. so if you guys could help me out it would be much appreciated. i am using my moms computer fyi and i still cant turn on mine.

Stats:

it is a ACER AST180-UD36A 3600+ AMD ATHLON 64X2 PROCESSOR (DUEL CORE) 1 GB RAM, 250 GB HARD DRIVE AND GEFORCE 8600 GT AND new powersupply that is kinda good, it like gives double amount to power the graphics card.

need help,
-dmajor

The no signal maessage on your screen means the screen is working fine, but no input signal is being received, so your screen was probably ok.

If your computer was older, I'd guess that it's the Power Supply Unit (or if it's newly fitted, is it in correctly), if it won't even try to boot, it's only power (or lack of) that can be causing it, so it might be worth having it checked.

Oops, and check the cables from the PSU to the various parts and mainboard.
