No Sound at all on Laptop
Hey, I've been searching for solutions to this problem for awhile, and nothing seems to work.
About a week ago, the sound on my computer stopped working. It isn't a headphone or speaker problem, because if I try to just use the built in speaker on my laptop it doesn't work either. I've checked device manager and all the sound devices are working. I think this problem started when I deleted a few unwanted programs to clear up space, but I'm not sure (I read online somewhere that doing this can mess up your registry and cause the sound system to not work). I thought that this problem would fix itself, but obviously it hasn't. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me.
Also, I don't know if this will help but under sound devices there are three devices that show up:
High Definition Audio Device
Microsoft
OK
HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_8384&DEV_7690&SUBSYS_102801BD& REV_102...
c:\windows\system32\drivers\hdaudio.sys
WmaCDriverV32
WmaCDriverV32
OK
ROOT\MEDIA\0000
c:\windows\system32\drivers\wmacdriverv32.sys
WmaCDriverV32
WmaCDriverV32
OK
ROOT\MEDIA\001
c:\windows\system32\drivers\wmacdriverv32.sys
Thanks again to anyone who can help.
