Thumbs up All drivers for Packard Bell i-media 5057

Hello,

We have a Packard bell i-media 5057 PC and have had to replace the HDD.

Due to this all the drivers/set-up (even though they were old) have been lost. Microsoft have allowed me to use my other PC's windows XP CD along with the original XP key to get it working again for our children (5 of them).

I have looked all over the internet for the drivers and keep getting conflicting information on the drivers for the machine.

Please could someone help, as packard bell have told me they do not support the drivers for the machine (puzzled!!!) and to check there respective creators/manufacturers. I know most of the items are based on 'sis', but thats all.

Thanks in advance and hope you might be able to help, as i'm getting greif of the kids while it's off.

Thanks, Ian

need to know which iMedia series it is, usally a letter precedes the numbers, look on the tower, is there a Part Number ( PNxxxxx) or a Serial number ( SNxxxx) shown, if nor sure get Belarc, copy and paste the report but leave out the win update section and the Software Licence section it gives your Win Product code

right nothing at packard bell, Get Everest / copy and paste the Computer – Summary section. Leave out the Debug –PCI section.
http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/...-Edition.shtml

Packard Bell have been ok in the past of showing the motherboard real make and model, once we have the motherboard then should be able to get the drivers.

Hello,

I got the PC working fine, but had problems with wireless internet (would not link) and found it was a setting in our new sky router. To follow all that my back gave me grief and I could not get to the PC to say thanks for all the help with the drivers.

The only problem I did have was I set-up the admin user in XP and changed all the relevent settings (eg. regional setting, desktop options etc.), but when I have created the kids area's (Limited users) all the settings have refered to the american defaults and I have had to tell the kids how to change them. I have got to the PC today and know there is another 2 accounts to correct, but they done it properly which supprised me.

Thanks again and really sorry it took so long to reply,

Ian
