USB device over current status.

Hi there,

I need some help,

Ok let me start by going through what i did etc.

Yesterday I started up my desktop PC as per usual and worked fine I left it on all day as I went out, come back did something on it (nothing Important), shut it down watched a film then switch it on again and now i get the error message USB device over current status. So obviously I wanted to fix this as soon as possible, so i did a quick research on the problem and in the end i disconnected the front USB ports and then it seem to work fine even when i restarted it a few times just to make sure.

anyway i wake up this morining and then boom again I get the error message USB device over current status

any help guys I looked into jumper settings for it but I have no clue with that.

Hi, there are several issues related to this and finding the one that is yours may not be easy. The first step I would take is to look for a bios update. BUT this is something that can go very bad in fact if it does it will be a new M/B. Its up to you if you want to continue.

Hi, as si777 has pointed out he disconnected the front USB ports and was able to boot up so from that situation he will be able to flash the bios.
