Help Turtle Beach X1

Hi i bought the Turtle Beach X1 Headset it works fine with my xbox 360 but when i plug it into my commputer i can get the sound to come out but when i try to talk nothing.I pluged the green plug in the green thing on my commputer the pink plug to the pink thing on my commputer and the USB plug into my commputer i also made sure that my mic was defaulted in my sounds settings.I use Windows vista.
