screen change colors

My screen keeps flickering from white to light purple for some reason today.I have no idea why this is happen.One minute,it is regular white then all of a suddenly purple then white again.

Im on a win xp,
256 ram
Geforce 3 ti 4200
Pentium 3 877 mhz

Today is the first time this is happening.Anyway I can fix this???

are you sure your monitor cable is plugfged in correctly to the video card?
