no soun or audio device detected

im using xp sp2 with a msi motherboard and i know the previous owner had sound i installed xp and when i pugged in the speakers and went onto the audio and sound devices none where dectected. do i need a new driver if so whitch one i definatly know its not realteak.

it isnt speaker problems either they work fine on my other pc. i also assume that the standard xp audio dirvers should work as the sound is built in with the mother board

Need more info, make ,model or motherboard if not sure get Belarc, copy and paste the report but leave out the win update section and the Software Licence section it gives your Win Product code
