Exclamation Need help fixing sound on a Gateway 504gr Computer!

I have a problem with my integrated sound on my Gateway 504gr Computer, I have tried installing different drivers ( old ones and news one ), different operating systems ( win xp, win 7 ), enabling and disabling it in the bios, and moving the pc around. It seems the only thing that works is moving the pc around in a special way, what I mean by that is if I move the computer physically to a different spot in some special way ( I don't know what I do, I just basically try everything, like moving it one place to another or flipping upside down ( the tower ) ) and it works. But when it is moved around it some times doesn't work or some times its just stops working all together. I don't know what wrong, I need your guys help!

My Computer Specifications: http://support.gateway.com/s/PC/R/3724/4365sp3.shtml

I believe I have a Intel® High Definition Audio subsystem using the Realtek ALC860 audio codec for sound.

If you guys need me to download and use any software necessary in helping me just ask or any other questions just let me know by posting a reply!

Thank god it's the Sound Queen, every time I google about any found problem I find you. I was about to give up all hope on fixing this issue but since you posted this changes everything. Has far Has I can see I don't have
Microsoft Universal Audio Architecture installed under system devices but I do see the High Definition Audio Controller. I am also using Windows 7 RC if that helps because I thought it might be the OS ( I was wrong ).

go here to Intel and install the Intel chipset for Win 7 - then restart your comp

not sure if M$ UAA needed for Win 7 as it is a patch for Win XP - if you need to install it's here

http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/...&GetDown=false

Click I Accept – wait for site to reload – click Next

Download the (Executable) file – save to desktop – double click downloaded file and follow installation instructions.

Set a System Restore Point before installing Each driver just in case
Start / All Programs / Accessories / System Tools / System Restore – click radio button Create a restore point and follow instructions

well you need to check Control Panel to see if Win 7 is using the driver, not sure on how to get there in Win 7, only just got the Administrators Pocket book, not had time to read yet.
