Random Freeze

There are a few reasons I think this is a hardware problem, I'll try to explain my situation.

I just built this computer so it is possible I did something wrong...

Its dual boot windows 7, ubuntu, everything works amazingly well, except randomly the computer will freeze, but the screen image itself suddenly stops and stays fixed, so its not the OS simply crashing. This seems to not really be performance related ( I stress tested my CPU, used memtest, and stress tested my video card all with good results), I believe I even had a freeze like this on linux which is why am I thinking this is a hard ware issue...

The only thing I guess I haven't tested is the PSU and my motherboard itself...Does anyone have any ideas/suggestions? It's a really good computer and everything is flawless aside from these random freezes, which sometimes happen in game, sometimes not, and usually happen every few hours or so but seemingly very random.

Let me know if you need more details.

Hi, I would think this is more of a driver issue than hardware. Try video drivers and audio.

Hmm, I reinstalled the NVIDIA and realtek drivers but they seem compatible with Windows 7 and everything seems right..Any suggestions what I can test to figure this out?

In Windows 7, type in the search box problems and it will give you a option to look at existing issues, thats if it has been detected.
The only way to find out what is causing this issue would be to start again from scratch, install 7 nothing else then install programs and note if all is okay, in otheres words rebooting ect so you ca find out what is causing this.
