HD Recognized but not operable
I have had this hard drive for almost 10 months now, I backed up everything I have onto it. I was working a Microsoft Money program where I saved the file on my internal hard drive, and installed the Microsoft Money program on the external HD. All of the sudden, my file closed on me, and since I have not been able to access the HD. I have reinstalled the drivers a few times, but the same thing happens. I don't see it under My Computer, when I click on a shortcut that uses the HD it says "The drive or network connection that the shortcut 'shortcut to My Money.Ink' refers to is unavailable. Make sure that the disk is properly inserted or the network resource is available, and then try again". When I reinstall the drivers the new hard drive is recognized with the "New Hardware Found" pop-up, but it never shows up under "My Computer".
Under the device manager, it shows "USB MASS STORAGE DEVICE" under the USB ports.
Any Ideas?
