A7V8X and XP

I all !
I have some problem with my Asus A7V8X motherboard.

I've just installed it today, and Windows XP is now very instable : sometimes it even reboots before the complete startup ...
On the same machine, Linux seems to work fine ...
I've installed the drivers from the CD with the motherboard.

My configuration is :

A7V8X mb
Athlon 1800+
GeForce 4 TI4200
SoundBlaster Live!
512 Mo 2100

Anyone have an idea ??? Anyone have the same problem ???

Thanks !!!

If Linux is working OK every time it is more likely to be an XP start up problem than your mobo.

Is it a motherboard upgrade on a twin boot system?

If yes you might have to re-install XP.

Thanks for your answer ...

Yes, it's a motherboard upgrade ...

It seems that Linux has not been disturbed by this upgrade ... but XP yes ...

I REALLY DON'T LIKE TO REINSTALL WINDOWS !!!!

Take a look at ram. Asus boards are very picky about ram. And XP is more sensitive to ram than other OS as I've seen here in the forum.
