keyboard typing the wrong keys.

Ooops, I made a mistake on my last post. Shift-numblock solved the problem.

BIG problem in my keyboard

hey there , i have an hp pavillion dv6000, from 3 years ago
always after recovery , for a couple of days i discover a keyboard problem and then it goes , 5 months ago , i formated my laptop and install windows 7
and since then, the keyboard is showing this problem , and didnt go
the problem is :
when i write , the cursor jumps by itself to the middle of a word
eg: the boy is ee appleating th
the correct sentence should be : the boy is eating the apple

or the cursor do a selection on the sentence and delete it

If your cursor is randomly jumping as you type (and you're using a laptop), then more than likely it is because your palm is touching the touchpad as you type. Try disabling the touchpad, then type. You probably notice that the problem has disappeared. I think the touchpad software alows you to configure it so that the touchpad is disabled while you're typing.

On a US keyboard layout, the @ = [SHIFT]+[2] while " = [SHIFT]+['] . On a UK keyboard layout, the location of these two symbols is reversed, so @ = [SHIFT] + ' and " = [SHIFT] + [2]

Probably you have the wrong keyboard layout. Try installing the relevant keyboard layout for your country (or the country where the laptop was purchased).

ALT + NumLock dosent work

Hey neo here when i press my keyboard it makes the sighs diffrend.

(I had to get my mate to type a me all the normal signs to make it like this)

+ = -

? = _

( = *

) = (

: = >

; = <

and so on, all my signs is fucked and even some of my letters, since im using a danish keyboard i have letters like , but with this keyboard bug/fail it makes the letters turn into signs : " {.

Im pretty sure this bug is somthing with the keyboard options since danish keyboard have more letters this could be a set in options as a american or english keyboard since they dont have the letters we danes do they have diffrend sign buttens. Please help and sry for no dots etc but i cant make them.

I fixed the problem thank god.... If you go to ControlPanel/International Language options, Then go to the tab called Language then click on the button Detail. If you did this right a screen now appears with a Picture of some keyboards and some diffrend language options on the bottom of the screen, below that picture it says Options and here you can see your hot key to change language on a keyboard. Apparently i hit ALT (first) followed by shift witch is the HotKey selection for change language. So my keyboard was set to German or somthing like that. If you try to change language it might not work the first time since there is some to choose between, so if it dosent fix it try doing it once, type Not correct then hit the hotkey selection again and type untill its fixed.

Have found info in this thread useful in solving half my problem - that is the Num Lock piece.

Here is the rest that I need help on....

I have a Lenovo Ideapad running XP. When I press any of the 4 the characters W E S or Z, I get nothing printed on the screen. I have tried combos of Numlock, Shift, Fn keys etc. This solved the problems i found same as those referenced in 2002 in this thread but not the W E S Z mix.

Any ideas?

Keyboard typing wrong letters

These are the wrong letters that are coming up:
The first line is what it should be showing and the second line in is what it is printing. I am currently using Windows XP.
1234567890-=
1234567890[]
!@#$%?&*()_+
!@#$%^&*(){}
qwertyuiop^
,.pyfgcrl/=\
QWERTYUIOP
<>PYFGCRL?+|
asdfghjkl;
aoeuidhtns-
ASDFGHJKL:
AOEUIDHTNS_
zxcvbnm,.
;qjkxbmwvz
ZXCVBNM
:QJKXBMWVZ
Any ideas about how to fix this problem. It does it on documents that I am adding paragraphs or making correct.
