Exclamation Sound suddenly stopped working

I'm just using ZeldaClassic on my computer, then suddenly, my headphones start having a really loud distorted buzzing noise coming from them. So i immediately take them off and unplug them, then i realize that there is no sound coming from the speakers. I've looked everywhere and i haven't found anything that works, please help.
