12V Power

I have a device that requires 2AMP 12V power (an LCD screen) Is it safe to connect to one of the lines comming from the computers power supply? I'v connected small devices nbefore with no problems, but will it support 2 amp?

technically, yes. usually on the +12V bus, you have at least 8 amps of juice to dole out among all the +12V devices. If you have a good PSU, you may have up to 20 amps.
