CD Burner stuck, please help

hi, my cd- rw burner is stuck, everytime i go to open it, it tries to eject, but it doesn't, while the light keeps on flashing.
i can see it move like 2 mms forward, but then it goes back....

some help would be appreciated!!

If your problem is stuck CD in the drive, then you could use a very tiny pin and manually open it. All the CD drives have a very small hole infront (very small) , you need to put a pin in there and push it IN, you can even do that when the system if powered off.

i've already tried that and it doesnt open, and even if it did work, i dont want to keep on opening it like that, i want to open it the normal way

have you tried rebooting and just as the power comes back on press the eject button
