Read Only Data on CDRW

When we write things like Powerpoint presentations to a CDRW disc the files always become read only. Happens with Nero and with IBM's own CD RW software.

Is this normal? If not how do we stop this happenning?

Thanks

george

That's normal with any file copied from CD to Hard drive, all you got to do the right click on the file and go to propery and remove the Read Only function.

Ah, if only it were so easy life would be a doddle.

Trying to remove the read only tick results in an error message which says an error occurrred trying to apply the attributes.

What now?

Dude,, are you for real ??? You can remove the attribute of a file on the CD !!!! you can't write to a CD without using a software, right ?? so when it is in normal state IT IS READ ONLY , you have to move or copy the file to the hard drive and then remove the attribute.

cheers
