big big problem :(

im using a ASUS p4pe-x max 800fsb motherboard (WITHOUT a built in graphics card)
p4 2.4 ghz
512 DDR

using a geforce 4 440MX that came with the computer ALREADY INSTALLED instead of the built in graphics driver.

the system seems not to like any commercial video drivers. i've downloaded them separately but everytime i try to install i run into some mysterious error during the installation process.

i get a zero service display error

weirdly enough this problem persist with the two different kinds of video cards and drivers; both ATI and nVidia...

help!!

I use a Geforce 4 mmx440 video card which came with the driver disk . I have since downloaded updated drivers from the Nvidia site and have not encountered any problems in doing so.
I have an Asus P4pe
512ddr and am running Windows XP Home.

May I suggest that you go to the Microsoft Update site and let it detect what drivers you need.(I initially did this)

When I updated Direct X I had a problem re-installing the graphic driver that I got with the card, but all I did was download an updated one and it fixed the problem.

Hope this fixed the problem
