computer won't post

Hello all, got a problem here. Got a new case, mboard, cpu. amd2000xp. After assembling it won't post, push button - fans spin, drives spin. After exhausting all possibities I could think of. I took the mboard lose and set it foam that came with it. Still nothing. I changed power supply, same results. I changed ram still same. I changed cpu still nothing. Well I figure mboard. So I get one locally an ecs k7s5a go thru the whole thing again and still same problem. Of couse I've done cmos jumper, I've double check all jumpers - they are correct. Any suggestions this is getting expensive. Oh yes, It did come up one time, I turned it off and tried again and nothing...Help me! ke4nu

While you have it sitting on the foam,, remove all the drives and all the cards except for the Video card,, connect the PC Speaker too,, then fire it up,, used the elimination process to find the problem ( I know it is easy to say it but hard to have it done, but you got to do that)

cheers

make sure your power supply is set for right voltage

Can you get into Bios?? Bios functions happen before POST... can try shorting the bios jumper to reset it.. incase some settings are causing it not to work.. but that doesnt sound like the problem
