Install dvd burner - master? slave?

I need advice on how to set up my Dell box. Currently I have CDRom as drive D, CDRW as drive E, and want to install a DVD burner. I can't figure the best way to set everything up. Should I remove my CDRom and install my DVD as master, leaving my CDRW as slave? Can I stack all 3 drives?
I do a lot of audio work and I believe my current CDRW will burn audio faster than my DVD RW. I don't want to sacrifice being able to burn audio CD's at 48X.
On the other hand, if I could leave all three drives in, I (think) I could then play audio with my CDRom (attached to my sound card) and burn discs from drive E to drive F at the same time.
Please advise!!
Thanks
