Angry PACKARD BELL I-Power - Dead screen

Help!

My I-Power laptop which I've owned for about 6 months is dead. Basically I turn it on and there is nothing on the screen. It makes all the right noises, and even if I type in my password it makes the entering windows noise, yet I can't see anything.

I have tried to connect another monitor to see if it works that way and still nothing.

I really dont want to send it back for warranty as last time I did that the DVD drive came back shafted requiring another RTB for the machine. Anyone have any ideas how I might be able to fix it or what the problem is?

Also where do I stand with warranties? Can I get them to replace the whole unit as this is a problem that HAS happened before. Does this mean that it is going to happen again, and if it does it will more than likely be outside of the warranty period! HOW MUCH IS IT LIKELY TO COST TO FIX!????

Damn you Packard Bell!

Thanks

Ash

Sounds like the graphics card is broken.

Get it returned before the warranty runs out.

Any repairs that you do will probably invalidate the warranty so don't try anything yourself.

Make loud noises about how bad the machine is and how you will tell everybody you know how bad their machines are.

Watch them jump through hoops trying to avoid bad publicity.
