how do i undo something that is write protected?

Fist of all sorry if this is in the wrong place. i am a first time poster and haven't a clue.

My situation!!!!

I have a micro sd card in my phone. i want to put new songs and stuff onto it from my pc. I go to drag something onto it and it comes up the disc is write protected. remove write protection or try another disc. i don't know why this is happening. any help would be brilliant as i don't want to have to keep sending every file by bluetooth as this takes forever. Thank you in advance!!!!

Do you have a little slider type switch on the side which enables the write protection ?

It should have a arrow and "lock" written near it. Think of it being same as a old 3.5" disc.

Password Protection on phone memory

You don't say what phone or phone software you are using.
My Nokia micro-SD can be password protected in the phone, but if you then put the memory card into the PC is comes up protected, the password protection is not recognised on the PC an the card is unwriteable.

Go into 'memory' on 'utilities' on the phone and take off the password, then all is fine.

If there is not much on the card you could get the phone to format the card again so you can start from scratch.

Another thought, if you are stuck, is to connect the phone by USB and update the card in situ. There is software on the phone manufactures site to support this.
