Dual channel function
Hi....Im thinking of adding a 512 mb stick of 3200 DDR ram to my system. At the moment I`m running an ATHLON XP 2800+ CPU, on a Soltek 75MRN-L mobo, and utilising its dual channel ram function using 2x256mb sticks of Crucial 3200 DDR ram. There is a 3rd memory slot on the board, and I would like to add a 512mb stick into this. Will adding this 512mb stick affect the performance of the dual channel ram function, and if so, then to what degree would it affect the speed of my system.
