Driver incompatibility

I have Win Xp Pro Academic Edition and when I install new drivers such as the Logitech Itouch driver it says that the drivers aren't compatible with Xp. On the Logitech website it says that the driver is fully compatible.
What's the problem??

If they are compatible with WindowsXP then they should work. You might have a problem with your hardware. Is the hardware plugged into the port properly? If it is plug and play then you might not need drivers with WindowsXP only other versions. Also if this product is a USB, USB2 or Firewire is the drivers installed correctly for them. Also if a USB Hub is used then are these drivers installed properly.

I cannot find the product on the Logitech site. Please tell me what the product is.

I use the itouch driver on XP pro for my navigator keyboard and that works a treat. Using the supplied USB to PS2 adaptor.
It sounds like a possible conflict.

Strange.. never heard of the academic edition.
