Onboard Audio vs. Audigy 2 ZS

Hey all,

I'm trying to set up WinXPPro to allow me to switch between the onboard 5.1 audio on my Gigabyte 8KNXP (Rev. 2) and my Audigy 2 ZS via the Control Panel (so I can use my Creative 5400's by day and my Zalman 5.1 headphones by night). Despite installing drivers for both audio devices and enabling onboard audio in the bios, I can only select the Audigy in Sounds & Audio Devices. Can anyone please shed any light on this problem?

have to go to the control panel, then sounds and audio devices. on the audio tab you will have to select the devices to the card you want to use at the time.

A friend of mine has done that through some expensive DJ-ing software, I will ask him for the name of the software.

Thanks, but...

I can't anything else in the Control Panel because there is only the Audigy 2 ZS to select, so WTF?

your system is probably disabling the on-board to keep you from having hardware conflicts. you may not be able to run both.
