Question CD problems after installing slave hard drive

CD problems after installing slave hard drive

I recently installed a second hard drive and since my CD drives do not function properly. they are recognised by windows and bios but are juist not working properly - when i insert a cd it is not recognised etc. full details from berlac advisor are included below. please help it is driving me mad! I have Norton Internet Security and Anti Virus 2004 Pro - tho this problem occured prior to me intalling them - i had 2003 versions prior to this. I also have 2 very annoying programs installed - VOB instant cd/dvd V6.5 (with instant drivce installed) and Copystar Fantom. I cannot uninstall either program as i get blue screen when i try and cant disable the entries for them in the hardware manager for the same reason. I have tried to start the PC in safe mode to try to uninstall them but it doesnt boot properly. I dont want to have3 to reinstall windows unless i have to. PLEASE HELP!!!!!
