Exclamation Graphics Card Problem!!

i just bought halo!

i have a nVidia Ge-Force FX 128mb 5200 Agp slot graphics card.

i was told halo only takes up 32 mb video memory. in fact it says that on the case!!

"minimum requirments-32mb 3d video, ETC

i have a 128mb for god sakes!!
but when i set the resolution in halo to about 1000x1000(i dont know exact)

it lags like hell!! is there something wrong with my card?? if so, please tell me!!

thanks for the support

Does it happen as soon as you start the game? Is it online or offline? What is your Antialising and Anisotropic filter set to?
Please tell us about your system too.

oh ok,

system is:

512mb DDR SDRAM
1.80 GHz AMD Anthlon xp(2200+)
80 GB internal hard-drive
15" 60hz flat screen monitor

128mb nVidia 5200 AGP GE-Force FX
(the thing that wont handle halo)

ok heres the thing, i even use a "no-cd crack so i dont have to insert the disk everytime i play, plus if i use a no-cd crack i can have better gameplay performance.

when i set the resolution allll the way to the bottom which is like 600x800 it doesnt lag, but who the hell wants crappy graphics?? i know i dont!

so i set the resolution a bit higher, and now the mouse drags..basically that indicates im lagging..
would anybody happen to know the problem??

thanks for your kind support

The nVidia FX 5200 is their budget video card chipset. It's possible it may not be able to handle the higher resolution regardless that it has 128mb memory onboard. Like Microsoft Windows, I believe alot of games recommended requirements are actually the minumum requirements, if you know what I mean.
