update problem

hye,
this is my first post
i installed spybot s&d. as people suggest to me. i read about spybot from this forum..
but i cant get the update. the message ' error retrieving info update file'..
can someone help me please..

Which version do you have ? Usually what happens is that if you get the free version then the update won't work (simply they want you to pay for the full version) but if you get the 15 day or 30 days trail version then you could do a update (for the period of trail version).
Of other good software for detecting spy ware it Spy Sweeper and their 30 days trial version lets you do update and it works great too.

Spybot is in the process up creating a new version and hasn't had any updates since March 4th. I would suggest Ad-aware.

I prefer adaware 6.0 better. Its is updated weekly. Both adaware and spybot are great to have but as you said there are currently no update servers for spybot
