Problem with Outlook Express

(Miz)

Thanks for your replies, they have helped me.

I still have problems when I try to run Outlook Express 6. I am told that there is already an internet connection and do I want to:

1. Try to locate the server using the current server (if I choose this an error appears asking me to verify that the server name is entered correctly etc.)

or

2. Hang up and dial AOL (this puzzles me as most times I am already connected to AOL, but if I choose this option my current AOL connection is disconnected it will then dial the AOL number, seek verification of the username and password then tell me they are invalid)

I prefer to use Outlook Express any help appreciated.

Hi.

I'm having a problem with Outlook Express.

Everytime I open Outlook Express, I get disconnected. An error message appears saying:

"The host 'XXXXXXXXX' could not be found. Please verify that you have entered the server name correctly. Account: 'pop3.blueyonder.co.uk', Server: 'XXXXXXXXX', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 11001, Error Number: 0x800CCC0D"

The server name, user name, password and port numbers are all correct. The annoying thing is, I haven't changed any of the settings from when it was working, so I can't understand why it's behaving like this.

If anyone can help solve the problem, I'd appreciate it.
