Double Sided DVD+R

I don't know what catagory this fits in so I'll call it a web search question and put it here.

Does anyone know where I can find double sided, 9.4g, DVD+R blank discs?

I can find DVD-R's, DVD-ROM's and, of course, single sided 4.7g discs are no problem to find. But, I can't find the 9.4 gig DVD+R's (double-sided).

I've been assured that they are being made but I can't get a lead on where to find them.

Thanks

Nope -- I appeciate the attempt but you're finding the same ones I did. There are a lot of DVD-R's out there, but I need DVD+R's (double sided, 9.4g). I haven't been able to find them anywhere.

I'll keep looking, but every time I become convinced that they don't exist someone tells me that they do but don't know where.

Thanks

I don't know, and I'm too brain dead to read anything but the numbers in the ads I've been finding.

I'm looking for a friend. I don't even own a DVD burner.

Maybe DVD-RW? Or DVD-RAM (not ROM but RAM)?
Anyways, err-, good luck I suppose...

He insists that the only thing he can use in his system is DVD+R. He's using single sided 4.7g blanks and wants the double sided ones.

Well, I believe that DVD-R and DVD+R are the same thing...

He insists that he knows the difference and that DVD-R's will not work with his drive. I'm just going by what he told me on Friday and I won't be seeing him again until Monday so I can't question him about his information.

I will quietly exit this thread now...

seems as though there is a difference. +r has more features and compatibility. good page for general dvd and vcd info. i searched for a few different things: dvd-10, dvd+r, and dvd r. found that if this is a newer drive, it probably supports both -R and +R, but that don't mean a thing---- don't trust anything you see hear read or touch. if you can't taste it, don't buy it!!!

Thanks, I think he gave up. I heard him say that he bought a pack of 50 - 4.7g singlesided ones. He'd probably be interested (in the future) if anyone knows where to find the double-sided ones.
