Kontiki?

My friend has the fastest computer out of everybody I know(1GB RAM, 3.2 Ghz processor, the works). He told me that his broadband downloads are like 8MB a second (exaggeration, but they are quite fast. I heard from him that he has a program that makes these downloads faster than normal. He has the same DSL service as me but he gets faster downloads, and we both live the same distance away from the DSL service place. Its called Kontiki, anybody know of this?

It splits the download into 8 parts and downloads them separately, so you can download 300% faster.

I tried Kontiki a long time ago and it was full of adware and very hard to uninstall. Maybe it has changed.
Leechget is my fave. It also works with alternate browsers. No spyware and no adware.
