Question: Alot of the pages on the www use side-bars,

tabs in the header, graphics etc which are same on each page you

view, do they send the whole page each time or just the new info -

and is it my machine that is slow to rebuild the page. I need to

know this as it will be years before we seee broadband here and

just waiting so long for a page to rebuild where only 20% of

the info is different from the last page is a bit of a pain. I just have

my PC three months. Dell 1.7 Celeron onboard everything. Thanks

Depends on the page. If the menus, side-bars etc, are framed then probably not. Most pages probably send you the same stuff again and again. It should be faster after the initial load because the browser should have it cached, based on your browser settings of course.

You could increase the cache for the browser. Or maybe try a different browser. Opera was real fast way back when, but I dont know now. Might be worth a shot though...

Yeah, I agree. Opera is still the fastest onmy computer. Also, if you don't mind spending 49.95 a year, Propel is a program that should speed up your browsing 2 or 3 times. It does on mine using dial-up.
