That works only when you are sending a file.

Send a message via Yahoo to DA Master
The only was I can think of is to get the user(s) to visit an IP address site and get them to tell you.

I recently found a program which shows all the ip running through you - if you chose the right one youll get his homenumber etc (sometimes)
its called Commview (also get SmartwhoIs) which finds locations of IP

When getting an IP address from MSN, you must be sending a file to that person, or connected to them in some sort of voice stream. You will not obtain it from just talking to that person. It's sort of like getting an STD, you're not going to get one just by hanging out with someone, you're going to have to have sex with that person.

you will not get the phone number of the person you are talking to, you will only get the phone number of the ISP that he is connected through.

you get that person's phone number if that person owns a domain by going to http://whois.userland.com entering their domain name, and looking at the whois records.

also, the hostname baym-cs103.msgr.hotmail.com is the connection you are making to just get your buddy list, the hostname you see with one of your friends will be much different.

that's all i've got for ya, good luck with all your script kiddie adventures

an IP address serves one main purpose and that is to identify your computer to other computers on the internet or network.......may i ask whay you need the IP address?
it is of no use to you at all except if you are being probed or attacked by said IP address, then you can only submit proof of the attack ( which will not hold up in court anyway) ie: firewall log to the attackers provider and hope they will disconnect him in which case he obtains another provider.
even if a hacker has your IP address it is very hard to exploit a well patched system with hardware and software firewalls yes, both are necessary.he must first have a device in your system to phone home ( trojan) i am curious to what the great concern over IP addresses is ? .....and if he is using an anynonmous proxy or a masked ip you will never get it
