Opera History

I've recently installed a trial version on the suggestion of a friend.

Apart from the fact that it doesn't work with my btyahoo.com home page and my online banking site it looks very good.

However I've been trying to see how I can display my History in date order. Most browers IE/Mozilla etc. list the History under date order so that for example you can go back to a date in the past and retrieve the site again. It's also possible in IE6 to set the number of days that are stored before they are deleted.

So far I haven't been able to find this option Opera, all my History is shown in one long list. I've looked through the Help file and did manage to get the Global History up which does more or less the same thing but for the life of me I haven't been able to get that back again.

Can anyone tell me what I need to do?

Thanks

I'm running Opera 8.5 right now in linux.

I get my history of visited sites listed from newest to oldest with dates. History button is under tools.

In preferences, I cannot limit history by days but I can by entries and cache.

Opera has always been free (with banner ad). Now it is totally free (no ads).

Thanks.

I am aware that if I click the Tools button I can get the History displayed in the web page window and in date order. I was hoping there was a way to get Opera to diplay the History in the panel to the left like IE does where it's easy to back track to a previous date.

Not sure why I thought Opera needed to be purchased, put it down to a senior citizen moment!

Incidentally, don't know where you are located but I found site that gave info on how to modify the search.ini file to show search engines more related to the UK (where I am) Modifying the search.ini.

I tried this but still could only get the US sites to show in the search window at the top right. Wondered if you or anyone else knew of a why to modify this?
