Couple of Firefox Questions

Is is it possible to make it so that when you open a new page in firefox (by pressing ctrl n) it will open up to the page you are currently on (like IE does)

Second question is: how can you turn of all sounds coming from the page you are currently viewing

thanks

In XP,
You can turn off "play sounds in web pages" altogether but individually I think you would have to see if there was an option on the site.
To turn them off, go to Internet Options via Tools in IE. On the Avanced tab scroll down to that option and ensure it is not checked.

For the first question, you could try [in Firefox] clicking on Tools/Options/expand the Tabbed Browsing section and choose the way you want it to open.
