Wireless home network problem

In the beginning, I set up a wireless home network on my former roommates pc and mine. Her pc had the router, mine had the receiver. She added me as an additional user on the cable internet account (Comcast), everything worked fine. She also had a separate dial-up AOL account.

Fast-forward to now. She moved in with bf and I sold her the wireless setup (netgear). BF has the router on his pc, she has the receiver card, but she isn't able to log on to the internet via his access (she still has her own account with AOL). For whatever reason, bf cannot add her as an additional user to his account. My theory is that's the problem, but former roommate and bf think differently. Who's right here? Have I included enough info?

You're confusing me... are you saying that both her and her bf use AOL? If so, you do not need to go through AOL to get the internet.

Problem resolved, procedural error. BF installed the hardware then tried to install the drivers, that's why it didn't work. Drivers needed to be installed first then the hardware. Works fine now. "When all else fails, read the instructions."
