I-Worm/Nimda.E

i am having some real trouble with the above virus can anyone tell me how i can remove it from our infected systems without damage to the systems i thank you in advasnce for your help

You can download removal tools from most anti virus vendors. Starcomander left this link in another thread.

Nimda is nasty. I had a go around with it once and it won.

I have the same thing but it keeps f***ing replicating and my vps cant delete it as fast as it replicates.... it was placed in my system by a hacker who got into my system through temprory files sharing and placed the virus in here any hlep plz

get AVG it is the best anti virus program on the planet!!
even the free version is much better than the ever popular norton or mcafee which are both resourse suckers
and as previously stated there are many "removal tools netwide"
a cardinal rule for all end users........if adhered to will save you much grief and maybe a format......
DO NOT OPEN email with attachments or email from anyone you havnt know for at least 100 yrs!!!
also open your hidden files and all file extensions so you can see them .....some write hidden extensions to look harmless
like .....data.txt.....but when the hidden extension is revealed it becomes data.txt.exe!!!!!........not good!!!

I agree with Angelo. I hear a rumour that AVG will discontinue the free version. I am using Avast right now which seems ok.
