Ethernt adapter ?

I need help My area just became available for DSL,
however, I am unsure if I have a workng ethernet card, I have searched my system , I do have a sis pci fast ethernet adapter listed in I 386, I am unsure how to deploy? it I am afraid to sign up for DSL, I am afraid to tweak with my computer, I usually mess it up really bad when I play with the system. Any help would be greatly appreciated

when you connect using DSL you don't need an ethernet card...you use a modem which runs with a regular phone line cord...

bensimon, did you understand his question ? He said he has dialup and he wants to get DSL !!! Yes he does need a NIC to connect to DSL modem (unless the ISP gives his USB modem)
