Okay, so I'm no genius when it comes to wireless stuff, but I've never really run into problems. I'm pretty comfortable with the command prompt, and at least thought that I knew my way around connection problems with ipconfig. Well, I've hit a pretty heavy wall.
I can't renew my ip. I released my wireless adaptor using ipconfig /release "Wireless Connection"...and when I tried to renew it...couldn't do it...
I need help. Now I can't renew. Says it can't find my DHCP server...
Hello... here are some possible fix to your problem
- fix winsock

Tried to fix the shit with that winsock program, but I still can't renew my ip for my wireless connection. My plugged in connection works just fine though...
I have the same problem as goyo417, except that its not the wireless network thats the issue. Its the PC. We have a wireless network set up and it works fine on the laptop. The PC needs a new IP address but it won't renew. What is this Winsock that I hear so much about?
