How to disable other people from using your internet?

Hello all is there any way how i can disable my internet so other people cant use my internet...I have a router and its secured but i want to disable from some people in my family using it...is there any way?

sure there is...what kind of router is that, wired or wireless ?? People use the wired port or wireless ???

You can always go into the Administrative setting of your router and disable extra ports pending on your router, most router allow you to filter MAC address and change the DHCP range........if you have only one computer then make sure DHCP range it shorten to one IP address and use the MAC address filtering which is the most effective method.

Are you (yourself) using the wireless option ?
Do you want to block the wireless connection to others ?
Do you want to disable the wired ports ?

What model of netgear router is that ??
Do you know how to access the management page of the router ?

yes i am using my DSL internet, I want to block others from using it...The model of net gear is WGR614 54 mbps wireless router
