does tripod offer mysql and php support?

you could go download something like [http://www.phpbb.com]phpBB[/url] upload it to your account, and install that.

i believe there is a file called "installation" or "readme" that will better assist you.

According to http://www.tripod.lycos.com/compare/compare.html Tripod does not support MySQL.

If you don't know how to install, you can try MyIkonboard which is a remotely hosted forum - yep free.
