server mess up

I accidently switched to a Windows server that don't run PHP, I am migrating bact to my linux host. I woas wondering how long it would take, and if any files would be lost..

I noticed that on the Windows host my PHP-based forum didn't work. I was wondering if it would be back to normal, once the return to a linux host is made & how long does that usually take?
