My google search redirects me to other sites. Help!

Whenever I google something and then click on that link, while the page is coming up I see its name on the tab change to "REDIRECT" which changes to "JUMP" and then I get put on a website TOTALLY different from the one I clicked on.

This just started happening about a week ago.

Is this some type of virus or something?

More likley adaware but I would first run a full virus scan then an Adaware scan to see what results you get. Befoe you start any scanning do a disk clean up first. Go to my computer right click your system drive (usually C and go to properties then disk clean up.

you need to get an anti-virus program and then have it scan your system. i recommend to go to www.download.com and look for a program called Counterspy its a free 15 day trial and to my knowledge its the only anti-virus program in www.download.com to actually get rid of the virus it detects. thats what I did!!
