Wireless problem
Hey, I'm having some problems staying connected to the internet. I will try and describe the situation as best I can.
I live in a guest house attached to the normal house through a garage, which leads to the main house' kitchen / side room which has the router in it. My desktop computer (made by a friend) has a wireless network card to connect to the landlord's router. My roommates all have laptops. Every once in a while my connection will drop drastically if not altogether. I get insanely low speeds that eventually end in the connection dropping altogether and as far as we can tell the only way to get it back is to restart the router.
Every time the connection drops, I notice there is another connection on my wireless monitor. We are 4 channels apart and have different names. The laptops get better connection than I do by a little bit. When our connection is fine, their net runs fast and mine runs decently. When it crashes, theirs runs slow and mine doesn't run at all. I run on Windows XP, same with one of my roommates, and the other two use Macs.
Any assistance or possible solutions would be much appreciated. If you need more information on hardware / software, lemme know.
