Can't get graphic to appear on webpage

I created a simple website using MS word. I've converted everything to htm format using the MS program instructions. I have a graphic in gif format that I'd like to add to the index page for my site. I've followed the instructions from several internet sources, but the graphic does not appear on the web page on the internet. I also noticed that 'bullets' on another page do not appear correctly on the website. I'm hoping someone has had similar experiences and can advise me how to fix this.

Im afraid MS Word is not a good choice for creating websites! Check the code for the .gif image you are wanting. This is a sample of code http://www.softwaretipsandtricks.com...cons/icon5.gif. Make sure your .gif is uploaded to your website and not just on your pc and that the code in your web page points to where it resides on your server.
