internet explorer not responding

Hi,

I am running win xp sp2 .
All software beside internet explorer 7 and microsoft outlook are running ok.
I can be browsing ok for a while and then it will freeze up with not responding , each time I go to task manager to close it down it takes about 3 or 4 goes at trying to close it down.
With outlook it takes 3 or 4 goes to open it, each time it freezing up.
Any ideas ??

Yes I have Spybot and CCCleaner and AVG Antivirus , Have scaned with all 3 also I have tried Kerspersky Online scanner as well. It doesnt seem to pick up anything, expcept my mirc files.

Mirc came with a known baddie some time ago, but i haven't used it since, so can't comment now.
