Hi, once you reset to factory settings did you setup up your password and username for your ISP? Do all the lights on the router say you are connected? There should be a test page inside the router to test it. If all this is correct you may have to flash the router with a firmware update.

What happends when you try to connect to the router? Or are you unsure how to connect to it? Do you know the IP of the router?

i connect it i set up my network settings to the right settings. the when i go into my browser to type in 192.168.2.1 which is the routers address it either does nothing and doesnt load or loads the login screen for the router but when i try to login it freezes and gives me "cannot find remote server".

No other router i have used has ever done this and i am pretty good with networks and i am really confused over this

Hi, reset it to factory settings:

How do I RESET the router? back

You will have to use a paper clip or a similar pointed object to do the reset procedure.

Hard reset: Insert the paper clip to the reset button and hold it down for 15 seconds, while the paper clip is still in unplug the power cord that goes in to the router, now wait for 15 more seconds and then give the power supply back to the router, again wait for 15 more seconds and finally let the clip go. You will see the router's LEDs flashing. If this happens it means that we have successfully completed the reset

CAUTION! you will loose all settings by doing this!
(you will have to set up the router again once this is done as it will return it to default configuration)

Let us know how you got on.
