IE 7 Crashing Lately

Hello friends,

Without anything new added to my computer (software, downloads etc.) IE 7 keep crashing on me. The only thing I seen different was when I open IE it shows at the top to download IE version 8.

I am running XP Pro, have 4g ram, run anti-virus once a week (nothing found), spyware and mallware. I just don't see what could be causing the crashing. The onlything I could think of is, there was a Flash update a couple weeks ago but I have had them before in the past with no issues.

I do use Firefox now but I still use IE 7 for somethings, so would anyone have any ideas? I would appreciate the help.

Thank you,

Morriah

Hello,

No error messages. It just crashes and asks to send Microsoft a report, so I do. But thats it.

You can try to reset IE7 to defaults. Go to > tools>internet options>advandced>reset.
If this does not work uninstall IE 7 from add/remove programs and see if 6 is stable, if so download 7 again and try to reinstall it.

Hello, ty I will try that. My new issue though is now with IE 8. I figured I would try and download that instead, but when I downloaded the software to my desktop, it will not install. I tried downloaded it from 2 different sources and nothing. Maybe it is all of IE software that is having issues?

Thank you,

Morriah
